Good Design And T-shirts

Good T-shirt designs are easy to achieve. All it takes are a few simple steps.
1) Come up with a winning slogan - Keep it simple and use one or two words that invoke strong imagery, such as "Remember Thursday" but without being offensive or controversial. The more obtuse the better, as people are bound to wonder what the slogan means and wearing such a shirt could spark conversation.

2) Don't steal images - You can use a picture of a famous cartoon character in your T-shirt design if you like, but that is probably going to get you a lawsuit rather than sales. Better to use images in the public domain, or create the artwork yourself.

3) Think in color - Don't put orange text on a green background. It's not only ugly, but more than that, it's close to criminal. Use complementary colors if you expect anyone to want to be seen in your shirt in public.

4) Run with a theme - If you have a popular T-shirt that incorporates a potato chip on a boat, then your next shirt can be a potato chip on a plane, or maybe a cheese puff on a boat. Once you've found an audience, feel free to give them what they want time and again.
